WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Justice Department is conducting a full examine of Comcast Corp"s (CMCSA.O) plan to take a determining interest in NBC Universal (GE.N) in a $30 billion corner venture, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder pronounced on Wednesday.

"I can assure you the dialect is conducting a consummate review of that transaction," Holder told Democratic Senator Al Franken during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. He declined to plead specifics about the case.

Holder pronounced some-more generally, but privately addressing the Comcast/NBC deal, that the dialect could retard or levy enforceable conditions on a contract if deemed necessary.

"I"m endangered since I see the intensity here for converging of media in a approach that is really frightening," Franken said.
